Blog Entry #12

I'd say I did pretty well this year in Japanese. I'm going to guess that I'll end with a B/B- after exam and then a C/C+ after the late/absence grade reduction which is about as well as I did in Beginning Japanese 1 and is MUCH better than I did in 2. I did poorly on turning homework in yet again. I didn't learn the Kanji as well as I did with my last class, but I learned the grammar pieces and ways to say things a lot better this time. I'm going to have to pressure myself to do the homework the moment I get it next semester. I keep putting things off until the last moment and I end up screwing myself over.

Blog entry #11

This week we learned about あげる and くれる which is  to give to others and to receive, respectively. I had a lot of fun this week going bowling on my birthday. My greatest success this week was turning 20, unfortunately, I realized I haven't accomplished myself too much in these 20 years. I need to assert myself more.
１．）クリスマスに、主人がこのピザを、私にあげるかもしれません。
２．）クリスマスに、私は、主人にこのピザをもらうかもしれません。
３。） クリスマスに、主人がわたしに　このピザを。

Blog Entry #12

This week we learned about noun-が ほしい which is how you say to want. The most fun thing I did this week was a haiku jam session I did with friends. I was able to successfully build a database this week, which is a big success for me. My great challenge is catching up with Japanese and Database assignments. I wish I had more time in the day, then this would be easy.
1. 私の　大賀さんは　休日が　ほしい　です。
２．私は　子どもに　車が　ほしい　です。
３．時間と　お金と、　私は　お金が　ほしい　です。

Intermediate Japanese Post #9

This week we learned about そうです, this is added at the end of a sentence to say "so it seems." The most fun thing I did this week was read ヂアモンドは　くだかない. My great success was starting on my new book. My biggest challenge right now is getting to class on time, so I can take my quiz and not fail it. I can go a few miles over the speed limit right?

Intermediate Japanese Post #8 (LATE)

This week we learned about　し, this can be used like から to add reasons with an explanation at the end. The most fun thing I did this week was going to a concert at a store in Akron. My great success was snagging a little extra cash this week. My biggest challenge right now is trying to get my all my homework done on time. No way that's going to happen hehehe.

Week 8 Reflections

This week we learned about られる, this is added at the end of a verb to signal if you are able to do it. The most fun thing I did this week was eat out with friends. My great success was not missing my exam,even if I did poorly on it. My biggest challenge right now is finding a suitable replacement for my old hard drive, so I don't lose all my notes. However, I have found a few reasonable replacements, but I'm still unsure.

Week 6 reflections

This week we learned about ので, which is used for cause and effect sentences. It's important to use short form before ので so that it doesn't seem like you ended the sentences early. The most fun thing I did this week was sleep in. My great success was finally getting my workbook. My biggest challenge right now is finding the time to make up for my missed workbook pages. I'm going to have a lot more free time this Wednesday to make up for it.
